Energy optimized Buildings in Public Private Partnerships (PPP)

The New House of the Region of Hannover is the first building in Germany that was built in a Public Private Partnership and according to the “EnOB” standard (“Energy Optimized Building”) as defined by the German Ministry of Economics and Technology.

The combination of ecologic and economic targets is exceptional: almost 50 % reduction in energy consumption without additional costs.

The IGS – Institute of Building Services and Energy Design at the Technical University Braunschweig conducts a research project to verify wether the building actually meets its targets values in operation. The project includes a comprehensive metering campaign and user questionnaires.
